As a Supervisory Human Resources Specialist at the GS-0201-13, some of your typical work assignments may include:
Serves as the Supervisor to a staff of Human Resources Specialists and Assistants. Provides advice and information to management and employees and ensures that HR program decisions and operations are in compliance with the Federal personnel system. Provides policy guidance on the staffing and recruitment program, classification and position management, HR document management, employee benefits programs, pre-employment suitability issues, compensation, and processing payroll and personnel actions. Facilitates strong and reliable systems of communication guided by ODA principles to ensure that each HR Office operates effectively and efficiently. Plans, assigns and evaluates work to be accomplished by subordinates with processing personnel and payroll actions in the National Finance Center (NFC) automated system. IMPORTANT NOTES:

Experience:
To receive credit, you must indicate the month and year as well as the average hours worked per week for each employer. Average work hours must be stated on the resume to quantify each period of work experience or that experience will not be credited toward meeting the specialized experience requirement. You must address the specific specialized experience required for each grade level of this position on your resume or application or you will be rated Ineligible for that grade level. GS-13:
To qualify you must have at least 1 full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the GS-12 level in the Federal service that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skill, and ability to perform successfully in this position. This experience may have been gained in a Non-Federal service position. In addition, this Specialized Experience must demonstrate the following:
Leading or supervising a team of diverse employees in the day-to-day operations of an organization/office; Reviewing a wide variety of personnel actions, such as accessions, promotions, reassignments, separations, awards, etc. ensuring completeness and accuracy; Resolving problems/issues related to Staffing, Recruitment and Placement and/or processing personnel actions; Interpreting and applying HR regulations and policies/practices related to Staffing (such as pay setting; coding personnel actions such as accessions, promotions, and reassignments; and determining veteran preference entitlements, etc.) and Recruitment and Placement activities which includes advertising positions and filling vacancies; AND Communicating effectively both orally and in writing with supervisors/management and subordinate staff to provide guidance consultative and advisory services, and/or training.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
