As a Supervisory Information Technology Specialist (Director) at the GS-2210-15, some of your typical work assignments may include:
Develops and implements policy, standards and procedures related to the efficient operations and maintenance of the Disaster Credit Management System (DCMS). Represents the DCMS program with other federal agencies, state and local agencies, and internal SBA organizations as required. Supervises a diverse staff, plans and assigns work to be accomplished by subordinates, develops performance standards, and evaluates work performance by the staff and determines training needs. Monitors and coordinates day-to-day activities with the variety of SBA employees and contractors supporting the DCMS operations. Reviews financial systems to evaluate risk, solve problems, and recommend corrective actions. IMPORTANT NOTES:
Mandatory Overtime:
In order to respond quickly and efficiently to disaster survivors, substantial compensated overtime hours may be required during heightened disaster activity. The DCMS Operations Center is located in the business area of Herndon, VA. It is conveniently located near various eateries and shops and is accessible via public transportation. This position is also being announced under Delegated Examining Procedures, announcement # DE-20-090-DCMS-10883414 open to the general public. Additional selections may be made from this announcement if identical vacancies occur within 180 days from the closing date. Generally, time in Non-Pay status is not creditable towards the specialized experience requirement listed below. Federal status applicants must meet both Time-In-Grade AND experience requirements by the closing date of this announcement. However, if you have separated from the Federal Government for at least 52 weeks, you are not subject to the Time-in-Grade requirement. Time-In-Grade Requirement:

Must have held grade GS-14 for 52 weeks
Experience:
To receive credit, you must indicate the month and year as well as the average hours worked per week for each employer. You must address the specific specialized experience required for each grade level of this position on your resume or application or you will be rated Ineligible for that grade level. For all positions individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below:

To qualify you must have at least 1 full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the GS-14 level in the Federal service that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skill, and ability to perform successfully in this position. This experience may have been gained in a Non-Federal service position. In addition, this Specialized Experience must demonstrate the following:
Overseeing or managing an enterprise level, transactional Information Technology System to include developing policies, procedures and/or standards for its efficient operation; Supervising or leading a diverse staff in the day-to-day operations of an organization or office to achieve goals and objectives and making decisions on workload distribution and/or staffing requirements; AND Communicating orally and in writing with other government agencies or organizations outside the Government to assess their needs, provide or obtain information or assistance, and improve relationships.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
