As the Sales Tax Manager, you will manage the Sales Tax function for all companies within the consolidated group.

Responsibilities:
Oversee, train and supervise Sales Tax groupSupervise the preparation of all domestic sales tax returnsManage sales tax auditsSupervise and manage sales tax refund claimsResearch various technical sales tax matters for US domestic issuesDetermine the taxability of certain products and services sold by ePlusStreamline internal processes and workflows by eliminating manual processes and utilizing technology efficientlyComplete special tax projects as neededProvide assistance with Sarbanes-Oxley complianceDevelop good working relationships with business units and accounting peers to effectively and efficiently complete tax projects and to identify sales tax issuesDevelop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of sales tax laws and regulationsMaintain a current awareness and understanding of and to fully comply with the company's code of ethics, independence rules and quality control practicesYour Corporate

Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Tax6
years applicable work experience in tax related areasGreatly Preferred
Experience:
Experience with integrating SUT system with an ERP system and/or revenue billing systems strongly preferredCurrent or previous experience working for large corporations (publicly-held/Big Four/$2B+)Technology savvyCPA preferredGreat Plains Software experience a plusVertex Software5
years' experience managing direct reports Physical Requirements of Position:
Ability of finger dexterity to be used primarily to make small movements such as typing, picking up small objects or pinching fingers together.
Movements frequently and regularly required using the wrists, hands and / or fingers.
Speech ability must be at a level where one must convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately, loudly or quickly.
Hearing ability must be at a level to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information.
Visual ability must be average with ordinary visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or products, or operate machinery.
Physical strength for sedentary work with sitting most of the time.
May have to exert or lift up to 10 - 20 pounds of force occasionally.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
