As a Administrative Support Specialist at the GS-0301-9/11, some of your typical work assignments may include:
Assist senior Specialist in coordinating travel plans, airline reservations, rental/U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) vehicles, and other travel related needs between travel agencies and ODA HQ and Centers before and during large disaster operations, training sessions, conferences, and other large-scale or sensitive operations. Reviews travel vouchers and audits travel voucher files for accuracy and adherence to agency and Federal policies. Assures timely submissions to Denver Finance Center for payment. Using Microsoft Office applications to include Excel, Word, and PowerPoint among others to prepare documents, correspondence, spreadsheets, reports, etc. accomplish work. Interacts daily with travelers, Travel Management Company employees, and senior management in the performance of duties. Maintains a professional demeanor during all telephone conversations while working to resolve customer issues. Managing data across multiple systems as required. IMPORTANT NOTES:
This is a Cadre position, which is a competitive service status position with a full-time seasonal work schedule. Generally, time in Non-Pay status is not creditable towards the specialized experience requirement listed below. Federal status applicants must meet both Time-In-Grade AND experience requirements by the closing date of this announcement. However, if you have separated from the Federal Government for at least 52 weeks, you are not subject to the Time-in-Grade requirement. Time-In-Grade Requirement:

Must have held grade G-07 for 52 weeks GS-11:
Must have held grade GS-09 for 52 weeks You may qualify based on experience, education or a combination of both.
Experience:
To receive credit, you must indicate the month and year as well as the average hours worked per week for each employer. Average work hours must be stated on the resume to quantify each period of work experience or that experience will not be credited toward meeting the specialized experience requirement. You must address the specific specialized experience required for each grade level of this position on your resume or application or you will be rated Ineligible for that grade level. GS-09:
To qualify you must have at least 1 full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the GS-07 level in the Federal service that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skill, and ability to perform successfully in this position. This experience may have been gained in a Non-Federal service position. In addition, this Specialized Experience must demonstrate the following:
Manages and/or coordinates various aspects of business travel, such as arranging flights, hotels, and ground transportation using web based travel systems. Reviews/examines travel vouchers for compliance with travel rules and regulations; AND Communicates effectively both orally and in writing with internal and external customers. GS-11:
To qualify you must have at least 1 full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the GS-09 level in the Federal service that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skill, and ability to perform successfully in this position. This experience may have been gained in a Non-Federal service position. In addition, this Specialized Experience must demonstrate the following:
Manages and/or coordinates various aspects of business travel, such as arranging flights, hotels, and ground transportation using web based travel systems. Reviews/examines travel vouchers for compliance with travel rules and regulations; AND Communicates effectively both orally and in writing with internal and external customers. Tracks and monitors government credit cards issued to employees. OR

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
