Project Manager

Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented Project Manager/Project Integrator to join our team in the Herndon, VA area to provide unparalleled support to our internal organization and to begin an exciting and rewarding career within ManTech. The selected individual will provide expert level program management and administrative support for systems engineering projects.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Track and update project progress using customer tools
Perform PMF programmatics for the project (schedule, control gates, prepare slides, distribute minutes, review/verify deliverables, etc)
Track and update project schedules in both MS Project and PMTool
Perform technical writing on project documentation
Version control, draft and baseline documentation
Track team/project action items
Project purchasing documentation and Rrsearch
Develop project schedules, timelines (adherence to PMF)
Develop and present briefings
Produce project status reports
Leverage experience across the Center, Group, and external offices.
Create/update project documentation to include PMF and security ATO deliverables
Coordinate with Customer's security elements for Project Certification and Accreditation
Position Requirements:
11
years of related experience required
Bachelor's degree or higher in management or related field. Equivalent experience can be substituted for educational requirement.
Demonstrated experience with full range of project/program management lifecycle activities with an emphasis in project planning, risk assessment, resource management, estimating and monitoring costs, quality management and project contract management.
Proven ability to apply sound Project Management Lifecycle expertise to initiate, lead, plan, implement and coordinate the activities of single or multiple technical projects of varying size and complexity.
Strong understanding of customer field environment.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to effectively manage several projects simultaneously in a rapidly paced environment.
Experience with Customer's Project Management Framework.
Incorporates/Implements changes to schedule
Working knowledge of Customer's official message system
Working knowledge of Customer's organization, internal policies and processes
Project organization/tracking
Expert with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Experience with Microsoft Project, Visio, and Access
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to work as part of a team of very strong personalities in a very dynamic environment
Highly mission-oriented/focused
Desired Skills:
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Ability to work independently as well as within small and large groups
Capable of preparing and presenting briefings
Experience with Microsoft Office product line, including Microsoft Access; experience with Lotus Notes
Security Requirements:
An active TS/SCI with polygraph is required
Qualifications Requires Bachelor's degree or equivalent, and 11 years of related (technical environment) experience including management experience. Degrees Equivalent Experience/Education
