Bilingual Academic Associate (English and Chinese)

The Academic Associate works at New Oasis headquarters and is a member of the Academic Team. The position will assist with the student performance tracking and student advising. The position will also act as a liaison between the US and China team, requiring communication in Chinese to our China team, natural parents and students.
Job Duties &
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design and implementation of the academic advising initiatives
- Advise the students in various academic areas such as subject study, standardized tests and extracurricular activities
- Keep track of the academic performance of the students and produce academic reports periodically
- Design and provide academic webinars and workshops for the students
- Assist with New Student Orientation
- Maintain communication and a positive relationship with our partnering high schools
- Work closely with the Homestay 360 Team to support the students
- Communicate with the China team, natural parents and students on admissions, homestay or academic issues via email, phone, or video
- Other administrative duties as assigned

Job
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred
- Must be fluent (speaking, listening, reading and writing) in Mandarin Chinese and English
- Must have TOEFL and SAT/GRE experiences
- Must have worked with international students, preferred 2-3 years relevant work experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent follow-up skills
- Extremely organized and detail oriented
- Ability to multitask
- Good interpersonal skills
- Professional demeanor
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
