Job Description
The data warehouse engineer will have the ability to take business process and transform requirements into dimensional data model, including fact, type 0, type, 1 type 3 dimensions, lookup and summary. Create SSIS packages for all data quality and data loads using SQL server change tracking, SQL expression language, OLAP and MOLAP. Work with stake holders and development teams on projects relating to the enterprise data warehouse.
Responsibilities:
The Data Warehouse Engineer (DWE) is responsible for the full life cycle of back-end development of the data warehouse. Responsibilities include the development of ETL processes, dimensional design of the table structure, cube development and fact tables. The DWE will work closely with the Business Analyst to work through business requirements and develop processes necessary to provide visibility into the data via the centralized data warehouse and reporting platform. The DWE will also work closely with the front-end developers to ensure data that is being brought in and managed is clean, accurate, available, and complete. The DWE will help to ensure the data warehouse processes are running optimally.

Qualifications:
5 years with dimensional data modeling
5 years TSQL programming
3 years SSIS development
3 years SSAS

Qualifications:
Experience with data mining, Big data warehousing, and data processing technologies.
Data quality methodology.
Data governance methodology.
Data profiling.
Knowledge and/or Experience with Dimensional Modeling.
Experience with ETL technologies SSIS.
Expert skills in T-SQL coding 2005.008.012.
Create and support Analysis Services 2008 cubes.
Proven Data Warehouse design / deployment experience using Star Schemas, reporting and analytics for enterprise Data warehouse implementations, and the ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple assignments.
In-depth knowledge of star schema/dimensional modeling and data warehouse methodology.
Experience in large high volume enterprise IT environments and production support.
Experience with Data Modeling tools (ERWIN), Microsoft Office Suite, Visio developing logical and Physical models.
Lead the design of an efficient, reliable ETL mechanism for updating the data access layer related objects.
Work closely with Reporting/Analysis teams to educate all users on the proper usage of data access layer.
Tune SQL queries for optimal performance.
Thorough knowledge of design and integration principles for complex and heterogeneous databases.
Ability to effectively diagnose, isolate, and resolve complex problems pertaining to data infrastructure.
Ability to translate complex technical terminology, concepts and issues in terms understandable to technical and non-technical management and resources staff.
Strong interpersonal skills to resolve problems in a professional manner, lead working groups, negotiate and create consensus.
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with all levels of the organization, both written and verbal.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Flexibility and ability to plan, prioritize, and execute multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
Self-motivated, well-organized, and detail oriented.
Must be able to adapt to organizational change.
