Position Description:
The Solution Architect role will assist in designing solutions for a financial client. The best candidate will have a hands-on technical background and previous experience in developing and maintaining large/complex IBM mainframe applications and be comfortable reviewing source code to reverse engineer requirements of current applications. The candidate should be skilled in aligning corporate capability with customer demand, bridging both business and technology. Experience surrounding the use of business intelligence, enterprise/cross enterprise data movement and systems development and integration is preferred. The Solution Architect understands the scope of the problem in strategic business terms, and is familiar with the existing technology ecosystem in which the solution will be deployed. The Solution Architect will bring deep technical knowledge to a diverse array of business and IT challenges and can meld creativity problem solving, industry best practices and hard won experience to creating the required solutions.
Primary Job
Responsibilities:
Supporting the creation of the solution proposal, including the overall framework, delivery model, and operating model
Identifying performance improvement opportunities for solution realization
Collaboration with other team members for transition/transformation planning activities
Assisting the development and evolution of future capabilities to meet changing market demands
Understanding interrelationships and impacts of systems and applications upon the technical environment
Ensuring solutions are of high quality, high performance and scalable
Developing visual models that support leadership understanding and governance of technology principles and roadmaps
Accountable for developing and managing key internal/external client relationships across the sphere of influence, including situations in which no relationship previously existed
Provide creative alternatives and recommendations in a business context; working closely with business architecture and technology delivery team
Coordinate technical and architecture decisions with multiple stakeholders including the client and multiple business partner suppliers.
Participates in cross-area/function business challenges and co-ordinates at a senior level the work of own group/function with that of other areas
Participate in team of technical staff and with business leads to determine systems requirements and functionalities needed in large/complex development projects.
Develop detailed design requirements for projects, and communicate to Team Lead/development team in writing or in meetings as needed. Assess detailed requirements against Stakeholder and Solutions Specification analysis requirements
Mentor less experienced technical staff as needed
Required Skills:
8 years of related development experience
4 years of experience leading development teams
Proficient in architecting/designing/developing IBM mainframe application systems
Strong organization and leadership skills with the ability to facilitate technical session
Expert in legacy IBM mainframe platform specific programming languages and environments
Can communicate in both technical and business terms
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Must be proficient developing and delivering presentations on solution and business case/value to senior managers
Ability to develop shared service offerings in an IT service provider environment
Experience managing and/or working with technical architects
Strong understanding or previous experience in process-driven software development lifecycles and quality methods
Desired Skills:
10
years of experience in IBM mainframe application architecture/design and development using COBOL, IDMS, VSAM, and CICS
Experience in the Financial Industry
Experience with mainframe database management systems
Experience in and comfortable working in an abstract matrix organization, and working with various groups, including development, testing, operations and business development to advocate the architecture standards and enforcement
Education:
Bachelor's Degree
Additional industry certifications a plus
Evidence of continued professional development in areas related to architecture definition and development

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
