DigiFlight is currently seeking a Tester/Developer to support our government client in Herndon, VA.
The customer requires a Tester-Developer with development skills to assist with existing application testing and to develop automated test suites for multiple Ruby/Rails applications maintained by the group.
Candidate must have experience with Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), HyperText Markup Language (HTML), Hypertext Preprocessor (PHP), Javascript, Perl, Python, Ruby on Rails Framework ver. 2.1, Selenium, Shell Script, Structured Query Language (SQL).
The tester will be expected to:
1) Work directly with the development and test teams.
2) Develop Rails automated unit, integration, and functional tests.
3) Deploy and manage automated build monitoring tools for the customers major applications using Jenkins or a comparable tool.
4) Write clear and concise correspondence, test plans and procedures.
5) Maintain currency on tools, methodologies, and testing frameworks.
6) Develop regression testing procedures to ensure application compatibility with operating system or application framework updates.
1) Minimum of 16 years of demonstrated experience as a developer-tester.
2) Demonstrated experience with a testing framework preferably Rails testing (RSpec).
3) Demonstrated experience with web development, HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
4) Demonstrated experience with SQL.
5) Demonstrated Linux/Unix shell scripting experience.
6) Demonstrated experience with scripting languages like Ruby, Perl, PHP or Python.
7) Demonstrated Ruby/Rails development experience.
8) Demonstrated experience with browser based testing tools, such as Selenium.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
