The position may be based in the DC/Maryland/Virginia area, or Chandler, AZ.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Oversee all Tier 2 operations for network infrastructure, platform, cloud, system, application, and cybersecurity services for a federal customer.
Lead and mentor a team of Tier 2 operatorsEnsure effective analysis, technical expertise, and troubleshooting beyond those available at Tier 1 as required for incident response, resolution, and recovery related to network management, cloud, and cybersecurity incidentsProvide continuous tracking and reporting of network component failures and escalations through resolution and restoration of serviceTrack, measure, and report on agreed upon performance metricsEnsure timely, accurate communication to internal and external stakeholders and escalation pointsManage staff schedules to ensure coverage for ongoing operations and surge eventsDevelop and maintain staff training planIdentify performance improvement opportunities and implement improvement actions in coordination with and as approved by the leadership teamMaintain and continuously improve Tier 2 SOPsLead daily operations and status briefing to senior internal and external stakeholdersSupport change and configuration management processesBasic
Qualifications:
A Cisco CCNP certificationDoD 8570 IAT Level or similarA bachelor s degree in a technical fieldA minimum of (5) five years of IT technical experience in WAN routing and switching experience in an engineering support capacity in WAN networksA minimum of (5) five years of experience managing a geographically diverse team (40+) of multifunctional network or cybersecurity professionals in a 24x7x365 environmentPreferred
Qualifications:
AWS or Azure certificationsITIL v4 certificationClearance Requirements:

Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
