Junior Financial Analyst with Security Clearance
Dark Wolf Solutions, LLC is seeking a full-time Junior Financial Analyst to join our headquarters teamThe Junior Financial Analyst will work closely with the finance team to provide financial analysis and reporting for government contract projectsThis role will involve assisting in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and compliance tasks to ensure the successful execution of government contractsThe Junior Financial Analyst will collaborate with various departments and contribute to the company's overall financial success with the following
Responsibilities:
o Conducting financial analysis on government contracts, including cost tracking, revenue recognition, and variance analysis.
o Assisting in the development and maintenance of project budgets and forecasts, ensuring accuracy and compliance witho Ensuring compliance with government contract regulations, policies, and proceduresAssist in audit preparations and responses.
o Maintaining accurate and organized financial data and documentation related to government contracts.
o Working with finance team to generate and submit accurate and timely invoices to clients in accordance with contract terms and requirements.
o Collaborating with contracts and finance team to update funding, issue Purchase Orders, alert clients/team of a nearing ceiling, etc.
o Performing ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as requested by senior managementRequired Qualifications:
o Bachelor's degreeo At least 1-2 years of relevant experience in the DoD or Financial sectorso Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
o Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools (Excel, financial software, etc.
).
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
o Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
o Strong organizational and time management abilities.
o Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic government contracting environmentIn office support M-F during core hours (9am - 5pm)o US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance
Qualifications:
o Experience working in the Federal sector, specifically in a finance, administration, or contracts.
o Knowledge of government contract regulations and compliance requirements is a plusThis position has remote flexibility but candidates must be based out of the Herndon, VA area with ability to support in office as neededThe salary range for this position is estimated to be between $50,000 - $70,000, commensurate on experienceWe are proud to be an EEO/AA employer Minorities/Women/Veterans/Disabled and other protected categoriesIn compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
