As part of the AWS Controls Team, you will work with highly motivated experts and innovators in the data center industry.
You will be responsible for innovating, deploying, optimizing, and maintaining the automation systems within the data centers.
Automation systems consist of building management system (BMS) and electrical power monitoring system (EPMS).
Using Amazon leadership principles, you will develop new processes and standards while innovating in the controls space.
The ideal candidate will possess a project management, mechanical, electrical or technology background that enables them to undertake the challenges of sophisticated controls platforms and a demonstrated ability to think broadly and strategically in aligning building controls and automation with the larger objectives of the business.
Key job responsibilitieso Manage scope of Building Management System (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring System (EPMS) for construction of AWS data centers o Ensure data center controls are deployed in accordance with AWS standards, specifications and scope of work (SOW)o Review and provide feedback on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) design drawings and basis of design (BOD)o Develop project bill of material (BOM) and scope of work (SOW)o Manage multiple stakeholder deliverables, requirements and navigate difficult situationso Work under tight project timelineso Support and perform inspections, testing, and commissioning of controls systemso Participate and support Factory Acceptance/Witness Testing activities (FAT/FWT)o Financially manage both construction and service contractso Act in a project sponsor/lead capacityo Provide vendor managemento Develop scope of work for site improvement projectso Provide technical assistance and support to internal customers during life cycle of the data centero Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis for data centers control systemso Manage all un/planned maintenance for data center control systemso Learn and help design teams develop sequence of operation for mechanical systemso Participate in a global on-call scheduleo Grow in technical ability by learning a multitude of different automation platformso Learn and develop controls drawings and wiring diagramso Size controls valves and damper actuators and select controls devices.
o Develop and modify control logic programming and graphical user interfaceso Work individually and as part of a team to develop new products, support existing products, test and evaluate equipment.
o Travel domestically and internationally to support global AWS projectsWe are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
