TRANSITION MANAGER (FACILITIES)

NVE is seeking an experienced facilities management professional in the operations & maintenance (O&M) field to serve as a Transition Manager.
Individual must have at least 10 years of experience in facilities operations & maintenance.
The Transition Manager will work as the operational subject matter expert (SME) during the proposal effort, lead phase-in / phase-out activities associated with the Facilities Department contracts, as well as other duties assigned by the Vice President of Facilities, to include filling in for Project Managers at different contracts, as needed, or assist with corporate quality control for the various contracts.
Work will generally be remote, with general concentration of work around the DC Metro area.
However, travel may increase as we pursue opportunities outside this geographical area.
The Transition Manager reports to the Vice President of Facilities Services, but also takes direction from the Facilities Operations Manager (FOM).
General responsibilities include:
Provides subject matter expertise support to the Business Development Department, including attendance to job walks, development of staffing plans, costing, development of statement of work (SOW) for subcontractor quotes, and level of effort buildup.
Acts as Transition Manager or works with incoming project manager to new contracts to ensure the implementation of company processes and policies.
This includes coordination and development of deliverables, recruiting and interviewing of personnel, engagement of subcontractors, and filling in the project manager role until the contract PM is trained and transitioned.
Conduct regular meetings to coordinate the transition effort and to synch corporate support including HR, recruiting, assessment and selection, travel, etc.
Monitor and tracks transition metrics to evaluate and improve performance.
Manages or assists in the evaluation and negotiation of bids, contracts, and/or agreements for commodities or services in support of the department's O&M contracts, specifically during the Transition Period.
Selects or assists in the selection, training, and evaluation of staff supporting the different O&M contracts, more specifically during the Transition Period.
Assists FOM with quality assurance activities for O&M contracts within the department.
Develops processes and procedures and standards for operational performance areas as part of deliverables within the Transition Services.
Reviews and/or revises programs to ensure compliance of operations with laws, regulations, policies, plans, and procedures.
Participates in conferences, training sessions, and meetings, as needed.
Provides support to site Project Managers, as needed, for coverage during absences or as interim management support for when changes occur.

Working knowledge of hand tools, electrical and power tools, meters and gauges Qualifications for the position include:
Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent (at a minimum), experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Citizenship Ten or more years' multi-site experience in technical operations management in facility management systems and/or service industry to include working, coordinating, supervising, and planning mechanical/electrical maintenance functions preferred.
Five to eight years of management experience in a related field.
Experience in transitioning large contracts, including BOS, highly desirable.
PMP Certification, desirable.
An existing government clearance, and/or TS clearance is preferred, or ability to obtain a security clearance.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
