The Availability Major Programs team is looking for a Sr.
Availability Engineer (AE) to serve as a technical resource and leader.
The Sr.
AE will be responsible for driving large-scale global projects and initiatives, that directly impact capacity delivery and availability for our customers.
If you like to interact with customers and a diverse array of stakeholders, track and analyze performance data, and develop new processes and methods to drive improvements, we'd like to meet you.
Your work will help ensure delivering high availability for AWS customers.
Key job responsibilitiesOwn and deliver large-scale and complex global engineering and operational programs and initiatives such as the industry recognized Reliability Centered Maintenance methodology, across the global fleet of infrastructure, that directly impact availability for our customers and management of our assets.
Partnering with and influence the direction of multiple engineering and operations teams within AWS especially; Reliability, Quality, Data Center Engineering Operations and outside vendors, consultants and suppliers to deliver complex/cross-functional projects.

Your work will help ensure delivering high availability for AWS customers through holistic systems-based asset management strategies - Mentor, train, and develop career progression for members of the organization.

A day in the lifeOur Sr.
Availability Engineers, have industry-leading technical abilities and demonstrate a breadth of engineering and operational knowledge:
- You analyze infrastructure performance and devise strategies to continuously improve availability, reliability and efficiency.
Apply your knowledge of risk-based, system study techniques such as Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, or Hazard and Operability Studies across design, operations and maintenance to deliver logical and justifiable changes to their scopes - Identify and assemble the appropriate resources for each project, assign individual responsibilities, and develop the milestones and launch schedule to ensure timely and successful delivery.
- Contribute with cross-functional business, engineering and technical project management skills, assess and manage risks, measure and report on progress, anticipate and resolve bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs with the technical constraints.
- You rely heavily on influence over authority to drive project deliverables.

Leadership on a regular basis, synthesizing problems and solutions into a simple and consumable manner - You are responsible for data collection, analytics and dashboard creation as a way to help others recognize the best path to make the business better.
You may from time to time engage in real-time operational events, and visit data centers to observe, guide, gather data and reinforce the global programs you own.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
