The Cybersecurity Project Manager will act as the primary point of contact between the sponsor and multiple agencies with responsibility for ensuring clear communication in support of the cybersecurity program objectives.
Requirements As a Cybersecurity Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading one or more programs including the cybersecurity capability development and optimization for one or more components under the DHS umbrella, through the DHS Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) program.
Responsibilities for this role include:
Hands-on interaction and teaming with Operations Leads, other Cybersecurity Project Managers, Program Analysts, Team Leads, and Technical Leads Successfully navigating the government and client workplace environment to coordinate across technical and program teams to meet deadlines, fulfill contract requirements, and support customer mission objectives.
Coordinate and lead Technical Exchange Meetings with technical and customer teams yielding multidirectional sharing of necessary technical data.
Leverage and showcase successes in implementation of cybersecurity toolsets deployed across DHS to increase the CDM value with all DHS components.
Maintain a regular communication cadence with the sponsor and customers to enhance collaboration, optimize investments, and improve cybersecurity posture; as necessary, facilitate ad-hoc meetings.
Identify and track programmatic as well as corporate risks and issues with projects yielding increased visibility across the program and additional resources dedicated to resolution.
Facilitate and provide support to multiple customers' strategic goals through procurement optimization, budget expenditure reduction, and annual customer IT Roadmap implementation.
Actively engage customer teams to ensure thorough understanding of the operating environment to facilitate efficient tool rollouts.
Review schedule, activities, and status, with Program Leaders, Operations Lead and other Cybersecurity Project Managers Review and present dashboard data to drive solutioning and increased data quality.
Identify, develop, and implement processes improving scheduling and coordination efforts in delivering the services associated with the associated tasks for the assigned group or agency.
Validate the rigorous application of information security/cybersecurity policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of all IT services.
Identify and manage new opportunities for program growth and coordinate actions with the Program Management Office Regularly meet with vendors to ensure delivery of the highest support levels.
Serve as a Career Manager responsible for performance management and professional development of team members at lower career stages.
Proactively lead teams in the execution of complex tasks with minimal direction and produce high quality results.
Serve as an Avint brand ambassador.
Significantly contribute to corporate growth initiatives in the Delivery and Cybersecurity areas
Qualifications:
Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearance requirements, US citizenship is required.
BA/BS with 7 years of relevant experience PMP and CISSP Desired Engage creatively and lead with a start with yes mentality.
Demonstrate understanding of Zero Trust Principles Familiarity with Cybersecurity CDM capabilities, such as Asset Management, Identity and Access Management, Vulnerability Management, and Configuration Management preferred.
Knowledge and experience in quality analysis Outstanding reporting skills, e.
g.
, graphical presentation and advanced Microsoft Office skills Experience in creating and managing projects with resource loaded schedules, Gantt charts, dependencies and critical path analysis.
Experience with evolving requirements and implementation strategies (e.
g.
, Binding Operational Directives) Demonstrate mastery of multiple functional areas (i.
e.
, project management, cybersecurity operations/engineering/management, etc.
) Ability to lead team members to develop subject matter expertise.
Demonstrate exceptional communication skills, oral and written.
