In this role, you'll work closely with other software developers as well as infrastructure and cybersecurity teams leveraging open-source tools to create and maintain a diverse range of applications.
About the Team:
We are a multi-faceted software development and systems administration team working to build and maintain software applications backed by a self-managed cloud infrastructure with a true big-data footprint (over 12 petabytes) Our diverse background of experience in mission support and software development serves as a catalyst to solve unique and challenging intelligence problems in support of special operations analysts and their on-going activities.
Prototyping and frequent, iterative feedback are core to our delivery approach, anchored by a need to work quickly in support of our missions.
Primary Responsibilities of the Technical Targeting Analyst:
Helping to guide and shape data engineering efforts, analytical tradecraft improvements with applications, and helping identify any gaps they might have within their data corpus and analytical capabilities.
Minimum Requirements:
Must have a current/active TS/SCI and be willing and able to obtain a CI polygraph.
At least 5 years of experience as an analyst, targeter, technical targeter, or similar.
Experience creating new and innovative analytical workflows and methodologies.
Some experience using Python Must be able to work on-site in Herndon, VA.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Comfortable briefing senior level leaders Comfortable leading small teams Experience in a customer facing role Experience working with targeting tools and databases Familiarity with Gitlab In-depth knowledge of technical data types based on previous research and work with data sets of interest.
Data types of interest include Technical Telemetry Data; Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR); Computer Network Cyber data; Other forms of telecommunication protocol data types, including cellular, wi-fi, and ethernet.
Experience working with other intel analysts and/or special operations customers.
Ability to lead the development of analytical tools, to include:
gathering requirements and distilling into project plans; developing project plans and requirements; leading a small team of developers to build web-facing tools for users.
